Owen Wilson is set to play the voice of a dog in a new canine comedy.
The 'You, Me, and Dupree' star - whose other recent dog-themed movie 'Marley & Me' which he starred in alongside Jennifer Aniston, grossed $240 million dollars at the box office - but this time he's going one step further and playing the dog.
The movie, which is based on the popular comic strip, will follow Marmaduke's owners as they relocate to Orange County with their Great Dane.
Other dog voices are provided by Black Eyed Peas lead singer Fergie, comedian Steve Coogan and the Wayans brothers, whilst humans are played by Judy Greer, Lee Pace and William H. Macy.
The 40-year-old Hollywood actor has already done some voice work in the upcoming animated Wes Anderson film "The Fantastic Mr. Fox."
Marmaduke is set for a June 4, 2010 release and is set to be a box office hit.
George Clooney has also been linked to another Fox Searchlight movie called 'The Descendants.'
If he decides to take the role, George, 48, he will star as a wealthy landowner who takes his two daughters on the search for his wife's lover.
