Luis de Cordoba
Renowned male flamenco singer and guitarist Luis Pérez Cardoso was born 1950 in Posadas, Córdoba and is one of the most important personalities of the flamenco culture. Amongst his numerous releases are the albums “Marcando el Compás" (1987), "Los Cantes de Ida y Vuelta" (1989) "Agua Fresca" (1992) and "Que ni Pintao" (1992). His song "Que Bonito" appeared on the compilation "Duende: The Passion & Dazzling Virtuosity of Flamenco" (1994). Luis De Cordoba received two Lámparas Mineras, the top award in the Concurso de Cante de las Minas (Mine Singing Competition) in La Unión (Murcia).
