Music > Yannick Noah

Yannick Noah was born in Sedan, France in 1960, but grew up in Cameroon. He rose to fame as a tennis star noted not only for his deadly forehand but also for his sexy dreadlocks. In 1990 Noah abandoned the tennis courts for a while and turned his attention to music; his debut single “Saga Africa”, released in the same year, became a smash hit. Shortly after winning the Davis Cup in 1991 Noah released his debut album “Black & What”. The good timing paid off, and the album sold well. Further releases by Noah included “Pokhara”, named after a town in Nepal and issued in 2003
