Album Review

History is palpable on this intense collection of songs. Though Moorish rule of Spain ended centuries ago, the ghost of that era survives in Andalusian and Catalan folk traditions; Radio Tarifa's border-crossing instrumentation and Arab vocal techniques only heighten what was already there. A must-have for anyone who cares about the Moorish influence on Spanish music.
